Look no further, KM Tool Supply has found a solution.  Six of our customers had this problem until we brought in the “FG” chip breaker from Ingersoll Cutting Tools.  The “FG” chip breaker coupled with the 5100 grade has provided a problem solving tool that is sure to impress you.

20 RMS was achieved at the .002” inch per revolution. 
All other competitors tested could not break a chip and the closest tool life to the TT5100 was a cermet.  The cermet ran 30 parts and the TT5100 ran 90 parts!

775 Surface feet per minute at .007 Inch per revolution .006 Depth of Cut per side
Ran on a 6 spindle CNC machine
7 different manufacturers tried to break a chip with this light depth of cut and DOM Tubing material.  No other insert was successful except the FG chip breaker in the TT5100 grade from Ingersoll.
